How Much Did We Spend?

The produce available at last week’s farmers’ market was amazing. So much to choose from! I feel so very blessed that we are able to get such beautiful locally grown produce here year round.

We bought the following items:

  • 2 bunches of bananas
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 bunch broccoli
  • 1 lime
  • 2 large zucchini
  • 2 Japanese cucumbers
  • 1 large bunch green onions
  • 2 bunches bok choy
  • 1 bunch carrots
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 bag clover sprouts
  • 1 large piece fresh ginger

How much do you think we paid for all of this? Answer will be in tomorrow post!

    1. I wish we only spent that much!

I learned last week that for some of the vendors we regularly buy from, what they earn at the markets is their families only income. Weighing that, the prices seem very reasonable for what we get. Fresh & local is best!

  1. $26.50. What was the most expensive item? The broccoli would be the most expensive for me (well, possibly the bok choy but I don’t think I’ve ever bought bok choy so I’m not sure what it would cost)

    1. Bananas! They were there, but not as much as usual and prices were higher. They’re always #1 on our list so we pay (I will never be able to eat a regular banana again! The local ones are SO GOOD, so full of flavor).
